Long Distance Moving – also know as Interstate move |
| Any move that crosses the state lines is considered as a long distance move, although in cases that the move distance is still in the radius of 100 miles and then it could still be considered and treated as a local move. Long distance moving has a lot of different parameters influencing directly or indirectly on the move cost, and there fore should not be considered lightly. - Additional / Special Charges:
- Long Carry – when the distance between your residence and the closes possible parking for the movers' truck is greater then a specific amount of ft.
- Flights – usually moving company offers 1 st flight free and a supplement cost for each extra flight.
- Shuttle – when your long distance movers' truck cannot enter your neighborhood or your residence area - a van will be rented to transport your good between them.
- Multiple pickups or deliveries – if you are in need for your moving company to pick up or deliver any or all of your household goods from or to several locations an extra cost will be charged – check for the cost with your moving company before getting the final estimate.

- Tipping the crew – it is acceptable to tip the entire movers crew for about 10% of the total moving cost. Keeping your moving crew happy will make the move more pleasant for you.
